Yes, we hear you all shouting “LECTRIC XP!” at your screens! Don’t worry, it’s coming in the Top 5 Folding E-bikes video, we’re just trying to not double up and repeat the same bike in multiple lists! 😃

@Reign Terrence i will try it out right now. Seems promising :)

This channel is absolutely fantastic. Thank you very much for doing so great. I’m looking at every ebikes video and enjoying a lot. Congratulations!!! SUBSCRIBED!!

IGO electric charges 800 bucks for battery plus shipping for my IGO extreme 3.0 which is extremely expensive compared to comparable batteries. And this particular battery is only rated at 624 Wh. A purchaser should research the cost and power of battery replacement before purchase or be in for a nasty shock.

Got my Ecotric fat tire 26" for $799, love it so far!

sounds like a steal!

Why no Igo?
ianrh13
My experience with IGO Extreme 3 was heavy bike (74 pounds) with 624 Wh battery which isn't impressive. Worst thing was lousy customer support from IGO so I returned the bike to Costco.

I'm interested in a 26/4 fat tire, full suspension, with a concealed or partially concealed battery inside the frame. I would prefer it to have a 1500w motor to reach over 30mph but if a 1000w can get the job done that's fine. I was going to buy the Frey City Comute but realized its tires are relatively narrow. What is your recommendation around or below 3,000? BTW you'll find this question in several of your videos since I'm not sure how fast or if you'll respond. Thanks on advance...

Your company seems pretty good, and I do like a few of your bikes but hub motors just don't work around me. Too hilly in areas, NEED a mid drive (none of which are both prebuilt and affordable) so I was basically forced to go diy.

i like the one for woman....this is a wonderful information...thank you.

Very surprised that no Himiway bikes made the list. They cost less, yet have more power, a greater range and a greater top speed.

Great video! I have done two ecotric bike reviews on my channel. Check them out! One when I first got it and then I did a follow-up review at 2000 miles. I love this bike! Cheers :)

Had a problem with how battery capacity was expressed in this video. Was hoping for simply amp-hours. Reviewer never uses that term.

Micah, do you think there is any chance we will someday again see an e-bike along the lines of the Hanebrink All-Terrain with 8-inch tires? I've never ridden one but the prospects of a bike that can truly handle sand and muddy turf would be fantastic. Small wheel-size fat tire bikes seem to be one of the best ways to implement E-bike concepts. I wish someone would buy the Hanebrink tooling or license the design and make it again... and preferably at a lower price.
OwnedbyCow
No Himiway on this list? The Himiway seems to be the better buy vs a Rad Rover.
MIRRORIMAGEWORLD
Do you ever pedal on these bikes? They do work you know!

Best reviews are if they are still running after 2 years with no faults and parts availability.. And preferably get used properly..

im 6'5 260lbs, is there an ebike out there for me that can go fast and also far distance?? i dont even know where to look, seems like a trouble spot for potential, "bigger" ebike customers. anyone have any advice? 😢

Where I ride it rains a lot so I have had some Veltop Windshield/cover attachments that I ordered from France.
They don't always fit the bike so I have had to customize attaching them. In addition I get rain splash from the front tie so I have had to get some gaiters that fit over my boots and lower legs. This solves most of the issue. Riding in the rain on a ebike is actually pretty fun this way.
Buxtro C.
Alright a 2018 model ego bike ecotric 26 in it's a rigid Fork hardtail and I have a v-shaped bracket that attaches to the top of my seat post bracket that absorbs a lot of impact while riding sitting down I got the bracket off Amazon it was like 10 bucks makes a huge difference that being said I've been riding my ecotric for nearly two years put couple thousand miles on it the only thing I had to replace is an inner tube and I ride straight through raw woods with no Trails through Briars over sticks and rocks and 41 flat tire to be the only issue is impressive I literally Barrel through and over Briars.
Gary Parker
Really like the super monarch 1500 e bike , awesome ( where are they sold at , also need back up breaks when going down step terrain
Gary Parker
Disc gets red hot , need something else for backup

I personally would not want a bike with an internal battery for the following reasons: I have 2 e-bikes, they are stored locked up on my back porch and I live in a cold(ish) climate. Best battery practices for longevity (max cycles) is to avoid temperature swings so my batteries live inside the house....and not having the battery with/on the bike is just one more theft deterrent. (It would have to be a really dumb thief to steal an e-bike with no battery!)
One of the bikes is a RadMini and the folding option is something that I don't use: at 60-65 pounds lifting the "package" into the trunk of a car is just wishful thinking IMO (not something you'd do every day)....I do transport it inside a SUV: I fold the handlebars down and roll it into the back (rear seat down) and lay it there on it's side...THAT is something you can do every day!

Sondors bikes are the real deal

This is an awesome review!!! I think Jeep electric bike by Quietkat also deserves a spot on this list - https://ebikegeneration.com/blogs/news/quietkat-jeep-e-bike-a-review
Wyatt Willis
Just ordered a Super Monarch Crown so excited for my first e-bike

@The Foster Farm thanks! Yes it's still currently the only dual motor dual suspension and dual battery 52v ebike you can get. I can prob go 40 miles with throttle only and maybe 115-135 miles with pedal assist. I never really get the battery below 70 percent it's been really a tough bike so far!
The Foster Farm
Lucky you!! Is it all wheel drive and do you like it?

Question: I have an Ecotric Hammer 48 volt. Is there any reason I cant use a 52 volt battery with this? You should review this beast. It is a lot of bike for $1,315.00
James Johnson
Don't use the 52 volt, you will burn out the motor.
BicycleJoe Tomasello
These people are looking so stupid spending thousands of dollars for a human powered machine with unlimited range that cost a couple hundred dollars for a more efficent machine and he's talking about putting it in a car. Just stupid. Get a bicycle beccause After the Apocalypse you won't be able to charge your batteries Mad Max.

Are fat tires really necessary meaning are they providing significant safety and comfort or is it just trendy?
James Johnson
They are more stable on the road do to contact area from the tires. I commute, skinny tires riding in traffics not an option.
John Dubock
Great reviews, glad to view a reviewer not enamored with super expensive bikes. What's with the lame grips, they look like leather throw ins? What about upgrading to real flat pedals, should be doable? I hope next review covers support, when things go bad, workarounds and of course maintenance as those chains /sprockets do suffer.

LECTRIC EBIKE IS THE MOST POPULAR AND BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK.
Michael De Baets
I need your help. I have a Pedego Interceptor. The battery actually has Bluetooth, however the app that Pedego told us to use has abandoned us? Do you know of any app that will allow us to access all the information Pedego promised us? Thanks

Michael De Baets: Same problem with my Pedigo Elevate. Can’t get the E-Tube App to sync with the bike.

I bought my Lectric XP in January 2020 to get rid of excess weight. I ended up losing 77 pounds, and my legs are like tree trunks. I have 2 batteries and have travelled 65 miles round trip. I currently have 2400 miles on my ebike. Life is great... or, was great. Last week, at 2400 miles, the bike broke down electronically. Left me stranded, twice. Had to walk home several miles. Lectric company says it’s still under warranty, but will take a long time to get the part needed to fix. Coming from China and from I got from the tech, this prob is happening to thousands of Lectric bikes. So, I stop riding for how long? A month, maybe2 or 3.... I don’t think so. I am going to buy another bike from another brand cuz this one is no longer reliable. It’s just taking up space in my bike barn. The unfortunate part is I just finished building my solar bike barn so my bike is propelled by sun and keto... I hope Lectric realizes that my warranty is on pause until it is fixed. They can’t take a month or several months and expect the warranty to keep running. So, if u want this bike, I totally recommend it. Just have secondary transportation and Uber on stand by. P.s. no public transportation where I live. ur on ur own here
Dbf Crell
Why no Juiced Ripcurrent S? It's got it all.

I got the Sport Cool bike I am 6' 210 and it works fine. Its good for me because I am 65 years old and the pedal assist works good for me when I need that extra push I am not 21 anymore and could use the extra help.

Yep!

While the Lectric XP is a good bike, it's not a "fun" bike. Look up the Bolton fat tire bikes. I have owned one for a year and absolutely love it. They, too, are on backorder, but worth a wait.
Tito Sirj
How can it be not fun?
patty stordahl
I jussaw your bike on Keeping it Dutch. Peaked my interest. Seriously thinking about getting one or two when my grandson cones over.
Neil
How could you possibly leave the Sondors Fold XS off this list? It buries the Aventon and the Rad. Hydraulic brakes, 750 motor, suspension front, and seat. The top Kickstarter product. You missed the mark by omitting the Sondors products. I am surprised.
chad wilson
Just bought my second xp. 900 can't beat it. 1400 seriously?
Tito Sirj
And some of the bikes mentioned here are limited to 20mph.
TheUplink777
Just got the Ecotric 26” fat tire bike. I love that thing. It’s so much fun and really sturdy.
mike bauer
TheUplink777 I love mine had it for about 3 months and it really looks like new and rides like new I( paid $839 free shipping worth every penny) When you go into the settings you can change the speed mine goes about 24-25 mph fast enough for me and no problem up hills at all!
Doug Furr
Dont buy any of these. Build it yourself. Get a BBSHD with the 3k watt Ludicrous controller or a good hub motor kit and build your own. I re-created the $6000 Ruffian e-bike from Ruff-cycles for $2200. Mine looks nearly identical but 3000 watts instead of 500, dual 12.5ah 52v battery packs instead of a single 16ah, 50MPH+ with too many details to list. Not to mention mine just looks better:)
PC Gamer18
On the second rad rover, i like the tyres, reminds me of a motorbike. How come they dont have that for 26inchx4inch fat bikes? I'll use that for road use, especially on wet.
HiagoSN
Guys, did you see the Himiway Cruiser? I think that's the best for the buck! 17ah branded cells battery, 750w motor, fenders, rack, fat tires, shimano altus, tektro brakes and all of it for only 1399 or even less with the discounts the have in their website!

M2S bikes has higher spec 500&750 watt hub drives with bigger capacity batteries for similar prices, surprised that you are unaware of such a discrepancy ???? Are you living in a remote island or just don't know much?

i bought the ecotric sportcool back in april have already put almost 500 miles on it commuting to work everyday did a few upgrades new cranks seat shifters throttle grips a rack and panniers and i couldnt be happier with my purchase i didnt have the money for a more expensive bike at the time but for 900$ you cant go wrong it is the best option for an ebike under 1000

How is no one talking about BPM Imports ebikes? Specifically the F15RS, it blows all other folding ebikes out of the water with a 1000w Bafang motor, and 21ah Samsung battery. Hydraulic brakes, and an integrated rear rack!!

Any opinion on BAGIBIKE B26 FAT TIRE??
JJ
I have owned a Rad and a Juiced - the Juiced Ripcurrent in my opinion is superior in ride and build. It's a little more money but you get a better drive train, hydraulic brakes and a 52 volt battery for a little peppier riding - in race mode I have gotten up to 36 mph more than a few times and I wasn't hamster wheeling since it has a 52 tooth front sprocket - to each their own but I was actually surprised not to see it on the list

Micah after looking at the comments and realizing he forgot the Lectric XP in the list.

@EbikeSchool.com Its all good, I just thought it was funny seeing all the comments. Lectric has an insane fanbase. Im looking forward to the next video, this one was great. I love the format.
EbikeSchool.com
Lol, as mentioned it wasn’t forgotten. It’s on the folding e-bike list. Many Ebikes fit into many categories (Scorpion and D-Class could also fit this list) but I’ve tried to not repeat bikes on more than one list.
Huh? what?? uhhhhh......aaaaaaaaaaarghhhh!?!?!?
you always look like a dorkish clown on a rad bike

Hi Micah thanks for all the informative videos! Is there any way that you could review on of the Bikeonit ebikes? They have a site but they are also sold at Bolton Ebikes under the Warthog name. Please get your hands on one of these for review :)

Great job Micah! I am enjoying my ecotric sport cool fat tire bike you reviewed. I am very happy with the bike I ordered it Thursday last week and received it Sunday that same week. For $850 it really is an impressive bike!
